Cycle Touring (NW Wales & Snowdonia)
Duration: 2 Days
Course Aim: Guided cycle around North West Wales
Minimum Standard: You need to be reasonably fit and capable of riding at 10-15 miles an hour and 40+ miles per day.
Cycling is an increasingly popular activity and this weekend is a great introduction to cycle touring in North West Wales. There are no fixed plans or routes for this weekend, with routes being decided and planned by the group, guided by a member of our team.
North West Wales offers some spectacular and varied rides, from the mountain roads of Snowdonia to the coastal paths of Anglesey. During the weekend you will plan two day cycles returning to the centre each evening. A drop off and pick up service will be provided where necessary.
The aim of this weekend is to have fun, while experiencing some of the magnificent scenery of North Wales under your own power, guided and supported by a member of our instructional team. There are a number of fabulous local cafes serving excellent teas, coffees and light meals which can be sampled along the way.
The coastal and mountain scenery and occassional coffee stop and lunch break, is guaranteed to make all the effort worthwhile.
Equipment
You will need to bring your own bike, helmet and gloves. We recommend a road bike or narrow tyred hybrid, with toe clips to make the most of the rides. However what is most important is that whatever bike you bring, you are comfortable to spend two days on it cycling with a group.
