RYA First Aid and VHF Weekend Package

Course Aim: RYA First Aid & VHF SRC Certificate

Saturday: RYA First Aid

The RYA First Aid course has an emphasis on first aid afloat, with much of the teaching targetted at dealing with casualties in a marine envirnoment. The course will cover the following areas, dealing with injuries, illness, unconsciousness, hypothermia, resuscitation and CPR and helicopter rescue.

Sunday: VHF Radio

This intensive day course covers all aspects of using VHF, including the most up-to-date changes of the Global Martitime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS). Many centres use VHF and it is regarded as an important piece of safety equipment on board a safety boat.

Please note: Your VHF licence requires a passport photograph. There is also an £30.00 RYA admin fee for the issuing of your licence. (Please bring with you a passport photo and a cheque payable to the RYA).

This course is Non-Residential. If you would like to book as a resident, please add the two night residential package under ‘Optional Extras’ when booking. The residential package includes two nights’ accommodation and full board for the duration of your stay.
