We have successfully opened the pool for some early morning adult lessons and recreational swimming and we are now able to offer some youth swimming lessons.

We are opening these sessions to those in lessons who can swim lengths comfortably in order to minimise the risk of contact and rescue from the staff.

Unfortunately we are not allowed to run lessons where the Instructor has to be in the water.

All sessions will be limited to groups of 8.

All sessions must be pre-booked and paid for online.

Under current restrictions our changing rooms will not be in use during this period, we are therefore asking all swimmers to come “Beach Ready”

What do we mean by Beach Ready:

  • Please shower at home before your swim
  • Come ready changed(costume under clothing)
  • Changing rooms & showers not available after swimming
  • Bring a dry robe or similar to go home in

Swimmers guidelines

  • Storage boxes will be available on poolside to keep towels, clothing and car keys, please avoid brining valuables such as purses, wallets and mobile phones into the building.  Bring you own box or bucket if possible
  • Please remove any jewellery before arriving for your session.
  • If you swim in a swim cap, put it on before you arrive to save time
  • There are no outdoor shoes permitted on poolside.  Please arrive in crocs, flip flops or sliders that are clean
  • Swimmers should bring their own equipment that should not be shared
  • ALL swimmers regardless of age should adhere to the two-metre distance to others whilst both in and out of the water
  • If you do require assistance, please hold on to the side or rope and raise your hands.  The lifeguards have received training on how to give assistance from a distance.
  • The First Aid policy at the centre is for first aiders to maintain distance wherever possible and to encourage the casualty or member of their bubble to “self-help” as much as possible, where appropriate.  Our first aid station does have all required PPE if we are required to break social distancing to give First aid and in the event of needing CPR we will be using pocket masks.
  • For the junior lessons we ask for a parent/guardian to stay in the car onsite.  No spectators are permitted on the poolside for these sessions.
  • Swimmers must not remove their swimwear on poolside, dry off quickly and put clothes/robe over the top
