This course is desinged to give you further confidence and build on your Stage 1 skills.
The RYA stage 2 course is aimed at those with previous sailing experience who would like to progress to a competent standard in moderate wind conditions. Tuition takes place in single-handed boats under the supervision of a fully qualified instructor.
RYA Youth Improver Sailing Stage 2: Basic sailing skills, ropework, collision avoidance
Ability after the course: Able to tack and control boat speed, and understand basic principles
Please bring a waterproof jacket, warm clothes and a hat if it's cold; if it's warm you will need sun screen, sunglasses, a hat and cool clothing. Whatever the weather you will also need footwear to wear on the water (old trainers).

Certificate: RYA Youth Improver Sailing Stage 2
Minimum Standard: Basic knowledge and steering ability to Stage 1 standard
Minimum Age: 8 yrs.
Anyone under the age of 18 years must have a Parental Consent form completed and signed by a parent/guardian - this must be handed in to reception on arrival during registration, without this form participants will not be permitted to take part.
